Black moves first. Every placement must trap at least one opposing disc between your new disc and another of your discs along a horizontal, vertical or diagonal line. All trapped lines flip to your colour; an empty square alone is not a legal move.
02
A player with no legal placement passes automatically. The game ends when neither player can move, and the larger disc count wins. This can happen before the board fills. Colours switch for the next round.
03
Do not judge every move by how many discs it flips immediately. Corners and future legal options matter. Be cautious around empty corners, practise against AI, then invite a friend to a private room to try a different plan.
04
You had no legal placement. Passing is part of the rules and does not by itself indicate a connection problem.
Not necessarily. A short-term lead can leave you with poor future moves; stable corners and mobility also matter.
