Rules and how to play
Four players: seats 1+3 versus 2+4. Deal thirteen each, then bid 0–13 in order. Nonzero partnership bids form the contract. Follow suit; spades are always trump and cannot be led before broken unless you have only spades. Highest trump, or highest led-suit card, wins and leads next. Making the contract scores ten per bid plus one per overtrick; missing it loses ten per bid. Nil is a separate promise: +100 for no tricks, −100 otherwise. Failed-nil tricks do not help the partner’s contract but count as bags. Every ten accumulated bags costs 100; carry the remainder. At 500, the higher team wins; equal totals continue. No blind nil, card exchange or jokers.
