Rules and how to play
Each player has one master and four students. Five random cards from the 16 base moves circulate: two per player and one beside the board. Choose one of your cards and one piece; the marked offsets are legal destinations relative to that piece. Jump over intervening pieces, but never land on your own piece or off the board. Landing on an enemy captures it. Exchange the used card with the side card after every move. Capture the opposing master, or move your own master onto the opposing temple, to win immediately. Students entering a temple do not win. If neither card permits any piece to move, choose a card to exchange and pass; otherwise passing is forbidden. A master may enter an attacked square. Site rules: the first seat starts; rematches alternate the starting seat. Three repetitions of the same position, cards and turn, or 100 moves without a capture, draw. Solo uses a local practice AI.
