A compact 9×9 table. Place a stone; orthogonally connected groups with no empty neighbour are captured. Suicide and immediate whole-board repetition are illegal. No passes or side exchange in this table. Connect either pair of opposite edges with your group, or leave the opponent with no legal placement, to win. Three repetitions or 120 actions without progress draws.
