Rules and how to play
Two-player, single-round expedition variant. Each player has eight cards. On your turn, play one card into its matching route in ascending order, or discard it to its color pile. Investment cards must precede all numbers. Then draw one card from the deck or the top of a discard pile; you cannot pick up the card you just discarded. Every opened route scores (number total − 20) × (1 + investments), plus 20 for eight or more cards. Unopened routes score zero. Investments multiply losses too. The last deck draw ends the game immediately; this version also ends after 100 completed turns. Highest total wins; equal totals draw. This version plays one round rather than a three-round match.
